NEWLY promoted Sales Director, Karen Bury, says seeing her team achieving their goals and getting great results for clients is what spurs her on.
Karen, from Worsley, Greater Manchester, was Head of Sales prior to her latest promotion and also spent four years as an Account Manager and Team Leader for Property Perspective, so has worked in the business at all levels.
Her new role will see her continue to push the account management team to hit exchange and completion deadlines for their housebuilder clients, as well as now getting involved in other aspects of the business including training, recruitment, home valuations and marketing.
What does your latest promotion mean to you?
The past year has been strange but also refreshing in some ways as myself and the account management team have found new ways of working. To be promoted to Sales Director after the various challenges we had to work through during the pandemic means so much. I’m thoroughly looking forward to continuing to support our wonderful team but to also take on new challenges that will come with overseeing all parts of the business.
Do you think working in a number of roles in the business prior to your new sales director role will help you?
I have gained such a good understanding of the business and that helps me manage the team better as I’ve got first-hand experience of doing their roles in the past.
What do you enjoy most about working at Property Perspective?
Motivating the team and celebrating when we achieve great results. I get real satisfaction managing a happy, motivated team.
What do you think are the main benefits to housebuilders/ developers of using Property Perspective?
The number one thing is that we can deliver sales on their plots by putting their customers in a proceedable position. We also proactively chase the chains through progression and report to clients bi-weekly, so they are constantly updated. Each developer has a dedicated Account Manager and Assistant so they can always speak to a staff member who is fully up to date with their sales.
Why should housebuilders’ customers use Property Perspective to sell their existing homes?
We offer a personal service to help people sell their home quickly, which enables them to secure their dream new-build home. One of our dedicated Account Managers will be their main point of contact and will manage their sale through to exchange and completion, keeping them and the housebuilder fully updated throughout. Through our commitment, experience, attention to detail and strong communication, we make what can be a stressful process easier.
What do you think the next year or so has in store for the property industry?
I think the market will start to level out as we approach the end of 2021 and start of next year, with house prices likely to stabilise. On a personal level, I’m hoping I can finally get away on a Caribbean cruise that’s been cancelled twice thanks to Covid!
